Synopsis
Al-Fatiha is the first sura of the Quran. According to Muslim tradition, it is also the name used for the ceremony paying homage to the dead. Today is the fatiha for Amir, Feurat Alani’s father. It is the opportunity for friends and relatives to recount Amir’s life and for Feurat to look back over his own life and the history of Iraq.
